Alumni - February Edition
Lysanne Muijsert was one of the first students to experience the TOM model here at the University of Twente. She graduated in 2017 after completing the bachelor’s as well as the master’s program. During her final year, she specialized in Marketing. Today, she is working for a marketing agency named Inextenzo. Together with her team she serves several clients, for whom they develop marketing strategies. The focus is thereby on data driven marketing, meaning the data is used to accurately form fitting strategies to meet the needs of all clients. Their main goal is to increase the market share of the clients and at the same time turn their customers into brand ambassadors. Her job varies every week and ranges from visiting clients for consultation to working towards projects or campaigns. “My Job is very vibrant. It includes developing content, leading projects, making surveys, writing newsletters and updating clients regarding the results of their marketing campaign”.
Developing such campaigns is very satisfying and makes the job very enjoyable. Together with her co-workers Lysanne tries to improve the good atmosphere to give the maximum back to their clients. The applicability of the theory in projects, which she enjoyed most of the TOM model helps her during the job. Marketing models mentioned during the study reappear in her work field and provide a good foundation for her work with the clients. Next to providing marketing advise, she also creates personas and advise reports. Nevertheless, public speaking takes up an important part of her work as Inextenzo gives presentations to clients. This skill, among other, clearly improved during her study here at the university and enables her to now pursue this job which she is very passionate about.
Looking back onto her study time she advises us to make most of our study time, take part of in committees and in communique activities, because we can only live the student life once!
